Snapper

This was a device for capturing pictures from the drop slide on the Greenpeace field at Glastonbury 2019.

This project used two Raspberry Pi's communicating using the OSC protocol. One Pi detected people falling down the slide using an ultrasonic sensor, the other took a series of pictures using the PiCamera module and compiled them into a short animated GIF. This was all written in Python.

The second Pi also served these images via a Ruby on Rails website (which the stewards accessed via a tablet) and gave people the option of emailing the image to themselves directly from the field.
